I'm currently running Construct 2 v.252 and NW.js 0.28. Obviously be careful since youre messing with system files here. Youll have to 'Save As' to some folder you own, then move those files back to SystemResources and replace the default system ones. Depending on the file you select as your icon, you may have to select a version of the icon on the left side of the window before clicking Replace. Maybe something is messed up inside your package.json file, please check if you have the line which specifies the use of the png/icon file ( "icon": "icon-128.png"). It's impossible to select a png-format for the game icon files so that can't be the issue. Tested using NW.js v0.27.2 and it works just fine.
